Tecumseh Wins 2019 SEC Jamboree Competitive Cheer Competition

The Adrian Maples hosted the 2019 SEC Competitive Cheer competition Thursday and after three very tough rounds between some great competition the Tecumseh Indians came away the big winners with a total score of 627.79, edging out second place Pinckney by 26 points.

Lincoln High School finished in third place while Chelsea finished 4th, Dexter 5th, and Adrian 6th. One of the highlights of the evening was the middle schools competing and in their first year of ever having a team and first competition ever the Chelsea (Beach) Middle School team came away with a huge overwhelming first place finish.

“Chelsea Middle schools first year has started out great!,” Chelsea High School Coach Stephanie Pratto happily exclaimed. “I’m so proud of them, not only for a win but for their enthusiasm for the sport itself. They make great assets to our program, and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for them.”

Most of the SEC teams will continue their competitions throughout the season so check your team’s schedule so you can go out and support these girls and all their hard work.
